A new group of up-and-coming creative entrepreneurs are among the traders taking part in the
Kirstenbosch Craft and Food Market – thanks to the ongoing partnership between the CDI and the market organisers which was developed to assist in the growth of emerging businesses.

The Kirstenbosch Craft and Food Market, which runs on the last Sunday of each month, kicked off on 30 September for the new season; it provides a space to almost 200 entrepreneurs to offer a wide variety of unique hand-crafted products including jewellery, clothing, knitwear, linen, leather goods, pottery, handmade soaps, candles, aromatherapy products, beadwork, sculpture, and art.

“The Kirstenbosch market has proven to be a highly popular local market; it’s a well-established monthly event in Cape Town with a strong public following. We are pleased to have the opportunity to continue the partnership into this new season,” says Fran Stewart, CDI Market Support Programme Manager.

Look out for the following talented designers at upcoming Market days and explore their unique, handcrafted products:

Yolanda Donkers (Luvuthando Dolls)

Roshana Naidoo (Kyro Print)

Sithembele Mgadi (Sithembile Recycling Art)

Blessing Tsiga (Tsimba Bags)

Nosisa Magutywa (Nosisa's African Beadwork)

Mcdonald Muringani

Phendulwa Sekeleni (Gifted Hand Crafters)
