BEYOND THE CRISIS: EXAMINING VISIBILITY IN THE CONTEXT OF PUBLIC SPACE-MAKING
SPEAKER UPDATE: Experts share their views on urban place-making at Creative Exchange
The Craft and Design Institute, in collaboration with ARPINO urban furniture, proudly present the February Creative Exchange, as part of the#cocreateDESIGN FESTIVAL.
In line with the #cocreateDESIGN FESTIVAL we will host local and international guest speakers to discuss the role that our cities and public spaces play in enabling connectivity, collaboration and inclusivity. We’re delighted to host this important talk at The Yard, in the heart of the V&A’s Silo District, and in the shadow of the iconic Zeitz MOCAA.
Our new guest speakers include Macio Miszewki from local design practice VDMMA, who were involved with the Silo precinct development from conception to completion, Lauren Hermanus, an expert in urban resilience and renewable energy, and Carlos Pereira, Arpino’s Chief Creative Officer and Industrial Designer. We regret that Zahira Asmal can no longer convene the panel discussion as previously advertised.
When: 22 February 2018
Time: 18:00 - 19:30
Where: The Yard, The Silo Square, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, Western Cape
Contact: john.edwards@betterlivingchallenge.co.za
Drinks and canapés served from 18h00, thanks to GP Singh and Abigail from The Yard.
