The Business Model Canvas series
From time to time it is important for a business to re-evaluate its strategy to realign its offerings to the ever-changing environment. Now, more than ever, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become imperative to do this and pivot our business to suit market demands. To do this effectively we use a business tool called the Business Model Canvas, among others.
The Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a strategic management tool to define and communicate a business idea or concept quickly and easily. It is a one-page document which works through the fundamental elements of a business or product, structuring an idea in a coherent way.
It describes the rationale of how an organisation creates, delivers, and captures value, in economic, social, cultural, or other contexts and forms part of business strategy.
The Business Model Canvas breaks your business model down into easily understood segments: Key Partners, Key Activities, Key Resources, Value Propositions, Customer Relationships, Channels, Customer Segments, Cost Structure, and Revenue Streams.
It helps communicate to clients why they should do business with you.
