About the presenter:
Aarmir Suleman
Aamir Suleman is a management academic and sales leader with a passion for Africa. He has over 10 years of executive experience within the higher education environment and is currently the Director of Education Networks and Knowledge Creation for Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Africa based in Kigali, Rwanda. Prior to joining CMU, he was the Vice President of Partnerships for Higher Education Partners International. He has also worked for a number of business schools, including as Head of Sales, Business Development, and Virtual Learning for Henley Business School Africa, as well as for Wits Business School and Milpark Education, and has represented institutions in various guest lecturing capacities.
Aamir has a proven track record of surpassing and managing multi-million Dollar sales quotas and divisions within highly competitive markets. He is an excellent communicator with a consultative leadership style, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a keen client needs assessment aptitude. He aggressively identifies trends and opportunities, develops focus, and provides tactical business solutions. He is a keen sportsman and environmentalist. Published in journals as diverse as the American Association of Business Behavioural Science to the African Journal of Business Ethics and the South African Institute of Management Sciences, he holds degrees from the universities of Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Witwatersrand. He also has American and European qualifications, including a Master of Commerce specializing in Strategic Management. He is currently completing his Ph.D., focusing on the strategic role of institutions in Africa to develop and create imaginative and future-fit talent for the fourth industrial revolution. His vision is to assist in developing an African workforce that is prepared for the digital revolution.
