By 2030, more than 75% of the global population will live in cities. The sheer pace and scale of urbanisation brings challenges and opportunities. How can we design solutions in cities that are good for the natural environment and also good for citizen health and wellbeing?

This month, the Creative Exchange will explore how green and blue design solutions help build a healthy city.

The Creative Exchange is a series of monthly events, co-hosted by the Craft + Design Institute (CDI) and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in South Africa (#cocreateSANL).

The main theme this year will tackle the topic of Designing African blue-green cities for all, considering how to design better processes, systems and products that can lead to a more water secure future, particularly in an African context.
