Participants will be encouraged to draw inspiration from Iziko and WC Museum collections, artworks, heritage themes to stimulate product development and where applicable, combine traditional making techniques with contemporary approaches.  The workshop will work with business management and marketing tools to support the sales process. The eight days will cover: a field trip of relevant heritage sites with in depth research; product innovation around heritage together with the importance of point of sales display (POSD); a product review; costing and pricing; and finally marketing of product. The workshop will conclude in the product support space to materialise some of these new ideas.
