The Craft and Design Institute (CDI) has formally joined forces with the Proudly South African Campaign to benefit the craft and design sector, promote buying local, and create further opportunities for our members.

Proudly South African (Proudly SA) is the national “buy local” campaign launched in 2001 by government, organised business, organised labour and community organisations (the constituencies represented in the National Economic Development and Labour Council – Nedlac) to boost job creation and pride in “local” by promoting South African companies and their products and services.

The CDI is a full member of the Proudly SA – our partnership will enable focussed Proudly SA marketing campaigns on craft and design to support the sector, create opportunities for CDI members at PSA roadshows and activations, and other special opportunities for our members.
