Design Sector Communications Officer

(One-Year Part-Time Contract Position)

Your responsibilities will include: Developing content for the CCDI that supports all its design sector projects and activities I Implementing a programme of communications activities in collaboration with design sector project teams I Writing high quality articles, case studies and copy on deadline for design sector projects including research outcomes I Managing the Design Sector projects’ websites copy I Media liaison and media database management ensuring maximum media exposure for Design Sector projects I Assisting in the content production for Design Sector projects social media platforms I Supporting events where required and ensuring communication support is in place and implemented to promote and cover events

You will need: Degree in journalism/communication/marketing | at least 5 years relevant experience | excellent understanding of the media and PR | a working understanding of design and design related concepts | exceptional editing and writing skills | a high level of visual literacy | excellent verbal communication skills | social media experience | strong organisational and administration skills | to be familiar with content management systems, SEO, basic CSS and HTML | to be a creative thinker with the ability to research and generate ideas | up-to-date knowledge of industry developments | some proficiency in graphic design will be an advantage
