SMME Business Development Practitioner
(One-Year Contract Position)


CDI Capital is a (Pty) Ltd entity within the Craft and Design Institute Group and provides financial and business development support to SMMEs.


This position is primarily responsible for managing the various SMMEs and intended project outcomes as implemented and managed by CDI Capital on behalf of its stakeholders.


Your responsibilities will include: implementing all projects of CDI Capital | manage and support the beneficiaries of CDI Capital’s projects | manage and support service providers of all CDI Capital projects | support the research and development of financial and fintech products and proposals within CDI Capital.


You will need: a tertiary degree in a field relating to business development or financial management | to be a creative and enterprising professional with at least 3-5 years relevant experience in the business development and/or financial field | knowledge of financial, legal and regulatory frameworks | the ability to work well with a diverse range of people of different skills levels, individually, in groups and remotely | to have exceptional organisational skills | to be proactive, act independently and actively multi-task | have excellent IT skills, particularly relating to financial and business software | good written and oral skills | experience in a relevant technological and innovation field will be an advantage | the incumbent should have a high level of emotional intelligence and having managed their own business will be a distinct advantage | fund management experience will be advantageous, as will fluency in at least 2 other South African languages
